About our candles - Les Mimipots

About our candles

Mimipots offer you handmade soy wax candles.

We make our candles ourselves with real essential oils. At the moment we have the scent of citronella offered, but by writing to me privately we may produce other scents like lavender.

We take soy wax, which is vegan, unlike beeswax for example.

Our wax stands out for its quality and long burning time.

We use natural essential oil and not artificial odors.

Unlike other waxes, soy wax does not increase carbon dioxide in your environment. Basically, it's no smoking.

Soy wax is biodegradable and very environmentally friendly.

In addition, especially for the summer we have thought of you.

Lemongrass repels mosquitoes and our candles are less harmful to the environment than chemicals sold elsewhere.

Nevertheless, please follow these few rules for a good use and for certain incidents:

Try to keep candles out of the reach of children and pets; Do not leave your candles near flammable products.

When your candle is finished, you can reuse the jar for other functions or even re-pour wax to make you a new candle.

More information :

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from soybean oil. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, shelled and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.

The hydrogenation process converts part of the fatty acids into unsaturated oil to be saturated. This process dramatically changes the melting point of the oil, making it solid at room temperature. Leftover bean pods are commonly used as animal feed.

The United States grows the vast majority of the world's soybeans, primarily in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.

What are the benefits?

The biggest advantage of soy is that it is completely renewable. As the world's oil reserves shrink and paraffin prices rise, the only limit on soybean supply is how much we choose to grow.

In addition to durability, a well-made soy candle will burn cleanly and slowly.

Guarantee: ecological, renewable, American-grown, sustainable, carbon neutral products; The list is lengthened increasingly.
